The hardest part of creating this blog was trying to figure out a name for it. I thought of something simple like "Judy's Blog" but let's be honest, it's boring. I wanted something original and creative but apparently my creativity is not that well refined as several of the names I tried were already taken.
As I was trying out names and getting the "not available" message I remembered when my son started kindergarten (longer ago than I care to remember or admit) he was taught to put his name on his projects and papers. For months whenever he was asked his name he would proudly say "Eric P Dot".
Obviously that makes me Judy P Dot.
I am also Nicole's mother, Collin's wife, and Cirrus, Josie and Sophie's grandmother. I am a mother in law (hopefully not the one from hell), a sister, aunt, sister-in-law, friend, and neighbor. I am a chocoholic, a lousy cook and golfer, an orphan, a Democrat (!!!) and a Christian. I am always on a diet, I always hate my hair, I nurture two neurotic Yorkies and I forgot how to spell and use proper punctuation a long time ago.
I had a blog several years ago that was a forum I used to talk about the loss of my parents. I kept it [the blog] a secret from family and friends because I didn't want to share those feelings with them. I guess I didn't want them to see a weakness. Anonymity is a great shield when you need one. I have -- mostly -- worked through that and have decided that while blogs can be therapeutic they are also a great way to share photos of your grandchildren!
